Yep, the unraveling seen here is boiling the dems motive for this down to impeachment as a strategy for defeating Trump in an election they don't think they can win.

In an effort to not seek new and pertinent information, but rather to simply give the managers carte blanche on unchallenged rebutall, the dem senators are the catalyst.

Are they allowed to respond to a previous question? This doesn't seem germane to the question asked.

The other side can submit a question so their side can respond. It has happened a few times already.

You surprised at Schiff doing that....

Besides, half the Dems questions are basically "Can you argue what the President's counsel just said, k thanks"

Schiff nervously rambling and still hasn't answered the question.

Oh wait he is saying you must remove Trump to protect the country and the election.

He is a nutcase but CNN is probably delighted in joy.

I must have missed the part of the question where he was asked to respond to the previous response. All I heard was the part about asking if impeachment should have been ignored because of the election. Thanks.

Oh, Schiff feels in no way bound to the question when he is framing his response. He just keeps to the talking points.

He hasn't answered a question yet that was on point. Same spiel every time he stands up...

Questions today and tomorrow, 4 hours of debate on witnesses and then a vote on witnesses on Friday....who the frick knows from there.

If they vote against witnesses, probably vote on Saturday for acquittal. If vote for witnesses, it could be a few weeks or it could be a couple months depending on the number of witnesses and how long it takes them

Would be a great question for a senator to ask right now.

I’m out. This isn’t interesting.

It’s like arguing religion with someone who holds opposite views from you...it’s just listening to yourself breathe loudly.

Philbin is rocking it again.

"If you vote for witnesses because the House didn't want to do their job, we are going to call a long list of witnesses and will impede you getting the job done in the Senate."

I was just thinking this, but the potential FOMO on some random boom or bombshell is too much to handle.
