I don't understand how an investigation into Hunter Biden and Burisma has a personal gain for Trump. They have never explained that they just keep saying it over and over.

I think their argument is that they couldn't impeach for Ukraine corruption because Trump obstructed Congress and they couldn't get the necessary evidence. That's the only thing I can see.

Okay, then whether or not Trump improperly influenced Ukraine to investigate the Bidens is absolutely irrelevant to these articles of impeachment.
If I'm on trial for obstruction of justice because I don't cooperate with a murder investigation, the prosecutor is not going to get up during trial and go on and on and on about whether a murder was actually committed. The murder itself is irrelevant to the obstruction of justice charge.

In regards to evidence being presented in the President's defense, that was limited by the House Libs not allowing the Reps to call any witnesses.
