First votes won't happen until after six days of presenting each sides case. Then they'll either vote to dismiss charges, or vote to call more witnesses, subpoenas, etc. Then you have to go through all of that shitshow.

Schiff's rhetoric describes "maladministration", exactly what Madison and Mason were trying to prevent by including the term "High Crimes and Misdemeanors". In other words, the Democrats are doing the exact thing the Framers were concerned would happen, trying to Impeach a President not because he did something illegal, but simply because they don't like how he's doing the job.
While this doesn't quite rise to Treason, it should inspire some sort of punitive legal precedent in holding accountable those who so blatantly pervert the Constitution against itself.
