Attention and resources that could have gone to training, safety reviews, equipment etc. was focused on DEI. That is a problem.
You have no idea if that factored into the accident. But let’s call it out anyway. Never let a tragedy go to waste. Straight out of the Democrat playbook.

Come on man. Do you think him jumping to the conclusion that it was DEI that caused this crash with an experienced crew (Hegseth's words) is going to prevent another crash?

As stated, you can only have 1 first priority and it should have been safety. Look at all of Biden's picks and you will see competence wasn't a factor.
People have been against the DEI push for a long time knowing a tragedy would eventually happen. It was just a matter of time.
ETA There are only so many hours in a week and so many $$ in the budget so every minute and $ spent on DEI is taken from what could be spent on training, equipment etc.

Removing DEI will likely prevent another crash one day

doesn't matter if the ATC or anyone directly involved was DEI. it is a culture/resource issue.
It matters if the person hired was less qualified than a non DEI candidate.

I agree. ....my point is a great tragedy just took place and folks are looking to the president for the facts and maybe a bit of unifying comfort. Not bullshite cobbled together Libs of Tik Tok or Daily Mail horseshite about ATC controllers being hired that are mentally impaired that just causes more fear and confusion.

Amazing, these libs from time to time ask, how do these lib policies affect your daily life. Well it affect 60+ lives last night. But now is not the time to talk about it …

That's not his way.
He had been in office 9 days, you dumb idiot. Biden blamed Trump for his failures for 4 years. Now you want to whine about Trump not owning an issue that clearly had nothing to do with him? You far left wackos are absolutely disgusting people.

Why arent the crashes pre DEI blamed on a certain race and gender?

It would stand to reason that hiring based on skin color or gender identity or sex, instead of standards and merit, would not in any way help
It certainly would help to set the stage for many potential accidents.

The last commercial plane crash causing death in the US was in 2009. Captain Marvin Renslow (white male) and 1st officer Rebecca Lynne Shaw. Lay the blame where you would like.

Again, we don’t know if this is a cause. I’ve investigated some very serious incidents in industry, including fatalities. Sometimes people screw up. And those that do have been trained up to the same standards as their peers who don’t screw up. And I agree: DEI needs to be jettisoned from both private and federal programs. But I don’t know if it was a cause of this accident.

Disagree. Some of the female pilots I’ve flown with in the Navy were top notch
for the next several years, maybe decades, any time a woman or black person fricks something up - or god help us a black woman - the dumbasses will blame it on dei and assume anyone of that sex/ethnicity is completely unqualified. nevermind that there are plenty of women, black folks and black women very much qualified for their jobs
it's the same old prejudice, just without the hard r so you can feel ok with it

So the usual platitudes without any interest in the actual cause of the problem?
Sounds very presidential.

The fricks that shoved dei up everyone's asses like in the DOD have nobody to blame but themselves if people question someone's credentials or position.
fricking wing queen in my old unit said hiring and promotion priorities will be female first minority second then best available.
She said it's time we right wrongs

We know more than 0 hours were spent and more than 0 $ were spent. That's too much.
DEI pushing equity over qualifications kills performance-based culture in any organization it infects. Look at Boeing.

Because it was pre-DEI.

case in point
sorry you had a bad experience with a wing queen
has not shite to do with this pilot until proven otherwise. no need for proof - let's just run with dei every.single.time
because prejudiced
