Before Trump, China was our largest trading partner. They stole IP, spied...etc etc.

1.5 years after Trump placed Tariffs and companies started moving out of China... etc..

quote:

As a direct result of those trade war tariffs, China has now fallen behind Mexico and Canada to become America’s third-largest trading partner. Before the tariff wars began in July 2018, China was number one.

That was an article from Jan 2020 before Covid and it's still a fact today.

This is the great thing that Trump did. Other than this, he was an average president, but THIS was a big thing.

That guy in your meme really dressed up a very simple concept: you can’t satisfy all the people all the time. There’s always going to be some one or segment that feels slighted, while the other segments are benefited one way or another and are happy.

Another relevant idea is that you can’t always get what you want - but if you try sometimes, you might find you get what you need.

He exposed the swamp and we were freaking respected/feared worldwide. National security is a pretty big deal to a lot of us.

If Reagan was running in 2024 he wouldn't pass this board's ideological purity tests

A unit of labor is cheaper in Mexico than in China.

Mexico has a more reliable supply chain.

Shipping from Mexico is much cheaper.

Was cutting taxes for the working class a good thong?

Keep in mind, the federal income went up after the tax cits

We should have incentivized companies to move manufacturing to Mexico/Latin America. It’s best for national security.

When did he do this? If I'm not mistaken, 2019 saw more border crossers than any Obama year.

I am critical of only a few things pre-2020, but they're far outweighed by the good he did. Trump was a very good president until he surrendered the country (and his reelection chances) to the champions of Covid.
