I mean what's the long term plan? The guard can go in and probably make a difference in the near term, as it has in DC. But unless the guard maintains a permanent presence in these places, what's stopping it under these Democrats from just going right back to how it was before.
I mean maybe that's the play, Trump offers these voters of these cities the juxtaposition of how it can be if Democrats get tough on crime. And then it goes back to how it was before and they have to live under resurgent crime.
