Where do you get the idea that war plans and maps were included in Crossfire Hurricane?

The indictment references "war plans" and a map.

Are we just take the DOJ's word for it or will the judge compel the DOJ to present the evidence to the court and defense?

And we know that there is a recording where he shows a classified document that is not related to Crossfire Hurricane, to members of his staff and a writer of a book on Trump, and he states that he didn't declassify it.

Because Biden re-classified them right after Trump declassified them.

The Constitution let's Biden do that, you know.

The phrase "Crossfire Hurricane" does not refer to "any farking thing that Trump thinks about or took." That is a specific set of documents. Those documents are not mentioned in the indictment. Trump is not charged with having those documents.

What that does show, however, is that Trump knows how to declassify documents. Taking them to Florida and putting them in the shower is not the process.

That could have been a letter from Santa Clause.

If he didn’t have the document within reading distance of the people in the room how would anyone prove what the document t was?

None of his lawyers have argued in court that he declassified everything. That's just something he's been saying publicly. Declassification may not even matter if the statutes they're using don't require it (e.g. if they just reference "national security" information without respect to classification).

Huh?

Declassification has everything to do with it.

They have nothing.

If Trump has a competent defense it'll come out at trial.

I didn't.

Where are the "war plans and maps"? How do we know the "war plans and maps" are not associated with Crossfire Hurricane? Shouldn't the DOJ be presenting this to the defense as evidence?

You are one hopelessly stupid motherfricker if you think Trump had the authority to declassify military attack plans just so he could show them off to a few people who came by his office to suck his cock.

This is not related to Crossfire Hurricane.

It's a question. Why is everyone still saying the documents are classified? They are not. They have been declassified.

Crossfire Hurricane records were declassified but is that all he had?

This is a political witch hunt and absurd but I don't know if we can say that 100% of what he had was declassified.

Not only that - PRA gives him broad latitude to take what he wants - and there’s precedent.

Mark Levine pointed out that this indictment was written as if it was some fed employee who did this.

It’s a sitting president exercising the highest classification authority - that only he has - and PRA - which only benefits him.

The question will be is if the Appellate courts decline to hear it until after trial - which is usually what they do.

I’d think in this case, it’s in the best interest of the country they figure out now if this criminal indictment is constitutional.

It should be administrative or civil.

For the last time…there is no process.

If they are in his possession, they are declassified. Period…end of story.

Others have mentioned in this thread that retaining information relevant to national security is potentially illegal irrespective of classification. None of this has ever come up in the context of a former president before, so not sure what precedents may not apply.

He opened the folder, pulled it out, and then showed it to him? Show me that part.

Let's put Trump under oath and ask him what he declassified. There is apparently no record of his every having done any such thing.

There is no requirement of a record. You know that.
