OK, that leaves one other choice which certainly isn't happening.
Trumpkins.

Some of these folks just need to spend 5 minutes in Houston and you quickly realize whats going on.
I'm the only neighbor on my street who cuts his own grass. All have a lawn service, all mexicans, about half or more are illegal. Any kind of construction project, you name it, only the owner or lead guy will speak english. We had new roof, fascia and sofit, gutters, water heater, stairwell, flooring, bathroom, AC, landscape, etc... all had illegals. Many been in TX for 5-10 years.
Several are up in arms about it. They should go to flooded streets in Baton Rouge and demand to see paperwork from the workers they are legal. If not, call the police.

You still think they are building a wall? It will not happen before midterms

That is the main problem. They keep coming and won't leave because they keep getting work. If they were not getting work they would go back like a lot of them did when the recession hit. But this country loves its cheap labor.

In TX its all lines of construction and landscape.
In most states its roofing and concrete. It is a challenge to find a company anywhere that does not have illegals installing a roof.

This is an easy fix.
From now on, for every illegal we arrest trying to sneak into the US via Mexico, we deport one inner city youth TO Mexico.
After about a thousand "inner city youths" from the US spent a week or so being inner city youths in Mexico, Mexico would build the wall on THEIR side of the border. Problem solved.

They do all kind of work. From picking fruit or vegetables to construction and everything in between. They work in meat processing plants and even milk processing plants. They are everywhere. Fine the shite out of those companies. Stop the work for two days and check papers. shite is easy. A fricking wall will do dick besides be expensive as shite.

And when the part on Mexican territory just gets torn down?
That would be an act of war on the United States
You are insane.

All the competition as a result of the illegals drives down prices as well. Have front and back yard mowed, edged, trim, and blown for $20.
Some are quite skilled in their crafts as well from tile work, ceiling repair, etc..
The fascia board and soffit guys were at our house for a week and talked about this very issue. All send $150-$200 back home every month. With housing boom cities, its very common. Atlanta was booming in the 80's and that got a lot of them to come to the United States, cities like Dallas and Houston are booming as well for the past decade.

This country loves its cheap labor. It was built on cheap labor. Like many other empires.

I would be curious to know if Trump had any businesses doing work for him had any illegals.

It is the same all over. Sounds like we need these people.

This is a good point. For every immigrant family with citizen kids torn apart, why don't we go after employers? That would be much easier. Fine them and make it impossible for them to keep hiring people. Numbers would honsay down.

This made me laugh. But just wait till the wall is complete. We're going to love it, trust me, it's going to be so easy. Winning!

I was at a couple of gator farms in Louisiana, one hired 25 illegals and another hired 49. Paid $6/hr for gutting, cleaning, and skinning gators. The smell would kill anyone, good luck trying to find US citizens to do that work for $6/ hr.

That is terrible. And, illegal. Those employers are committing Federal crimes punishable by jail time. Yet, we never talk about them.
I'm against illegal immigration and all of this kind of stuff. People should be paid a competitive wage and should get paid for what the work is worth.
Those employers upset me more than the illegals.

That would be a very Putinesque move by Trump.
You know I'm only joking, well kinda. When you consider all the shite we've stuck our noses into over the past 60 yrs, that's cost thousands of American service men and women their lives and yielded very little benefit to the American people, toppling Mexico either by force or through a US induced coup may have been the most effective use of US treasure and military might.
All the US would have to say is "fix your illegal and poisonous narcotics export business flooding drugs into the US or we will".
We know the Mexican government won't/can't fix the illegal drug trade in Mexico so here comes the US to save the day.
