All the posters who live in NO are telling you we don’t want the military police here “helping” us and you keep telling us we do want them here. Request them to police you in your town. Live your best life with 2,000 strangers with guns watching you drive to work.

Literally no one would rather live in the murder capital of the universe than have additional police and security forces to protect them.
What an asinine post.

Gov Landry can deploy the NG to New Orleans if he wanted to.
That’s what I was thinking. If Landry wants the Louisiana National guard patrolling the streets of N.O. and Shreveport, why aren’t they doing it already?

Just like JB Pritzker did to protect DNC swamp creatures prior to the election!
Glad you agree that all options should be on the table to keep Americans safe.

We don’t need Trump involved. If Louisiana is deploying its own national guard troops for street patrols in Baton Rouge and Shreveport, can’t Landry just do that?
Are we inviting national guard from other states to patrol?
This seems really vague right now. Either way, get it on so we can see what it does.

And blue cities in red states can only blame their fellow Democrats for putting them on blast, in their attempt to call Trump out.
Genius.
Genius.

I think the issue for the state is who pays for the deployment.
I could be wrong.
If the state payed either way he would have no excuse not to deploy if willing.

Would it make it feel more New Orleans if the guys with the guns wore ski masks and occasionally picked a few of you off or stole your car at a red light?

That’s ICE you are describing. We are talking about national guard. Totally different.

No they aren't. I still have cousins on the force and they'll tell you otherwise. However, stay off Downman Rd and South of I-10 to Read. However the rest of the city is a lot safer today than it has been since the 70's
NoEast remains a problem though.....but less of one than 2-3 years ago when it was the Wild West

Weak reply, but not unexpected.

He certainly can, and perhaps should. But there's another layer to this you are missing. Some of these hardest-hit blue jurisdictions aren't interested in keeping the people safe. They've been soft on crime, enacted cashless bail, light sentencing, acted as criminal illegal sanctuary cities, refuse to report key crime statistics, and even decriminalized certain offenses. They will refuse federal assistance under straight party lines. The same states that happily accepted NG help during the left's fake race riots will refuse that same help under a republican administration.
Should we throw our hands up and let these people crumble at the hands of their own leaders? Should the feds step in under any circumstances? Its an interesting question.

Make Latoya look incompetent. Make Pritzker and co look stupid. New Orleans wins. Louisiana wins.
Make the blue states ask for it. Go around to all the blue cities in red states and prove the concept.
"Hey, just enforce the law and see what happens."
This is what I've been thinking also = clean up every metro area where the state will allow it - shove the liberal mayors face in their own shite.

Crime decreased when Troop NOLA was brought in and coincendentlly, will drop dramatically further when more presence is brought in. It's a WIN for the city, residents and tourism.

Yet, you and the other libs are having a meltdown about this.

Also makes Landry look ineffective. NG in New Orleans means his Troop NOLA project with LSP failed.
NG guys would be better served and the community as a whole if they could just stay home and do their regular jobs instead of being used as political agitprop.

How epic would it be if Trump came into Nola with Jeff Landrys blessing, fixed the infrastructure, stopped crime, deported all the illegals, and returned the French Quarter and downtown area to being the crown jewel of the South. Liberal cities would overthrow their shitty democrat leaders in a heartbeat and say “I want that”

glad to see this really annoys you.
send them to Baton Rouge so the EBR filth stays in EBR. Tired of them seeping into neighboring parishes.

I would love a safe New Orleans. Let’s do it trump!
Posted on 9/4/25 at 9:15 am to TBoy
Yeah
Landry could do it but for whatever reason he doesn’t want to
As for deployment of resources and the Cost return, I’m not sure New Orleans is the best spot. Our murder rate has dropped considerably. Other cities have worse problems than we do
While I’m not opposed to trump doing this, It makes more sense to deploy where the problem is worse
