first things first, need to fix how prosecutions are being managed. Need to stop letting career criminals with multiple convictions plead to lower charges and as "1st time offenders". 2nd, the feds need to adopt more cases, plain and simple. Without fixing these 2 things, all the extra cops/troops, whatever will not make any differnce whatsoever...

Of course too many BLACKS. Why are you trying to tip toe? We don’t have to sugar coat it.

I have two young kids that depend on me. It would not be wise to put myself into a significantly more violent area like Nola on a Saturday night at midnight. Im not a selfish piece of shite.

The NG doesn’t actually go on patrol and make arrest.

No one is forcing you to do that? You obviously understand your own level of risk tolerance, good for you.

Insert Biden/Obama sending the national guard to any state and I wonder what the commentary would be here.

I heard for 8 yrs about how they were going to send ppl to homes to kick in doors and take guns—-never happened but ppl sure thought it would

The guard would simply post up on the downtown areas.

The police and feds would be freed up to sweep high crime areas.

Why not? Troop NOLA's return to the FQ has already had a strong impact on reducing crime. Why wouldn't you want that impact increased?

Well, aside from political bias.

If Landry wants the National Guard in New Orleans, he can do that himself. More political grandstanding.

That will be like a dream come true for many, to shake down that sht hole.

Every city in the US with a high crime rate should follow!!!

Do you really think a significant number of New Orleanians wants the military patrolling our streets days after the 20th anniversary of Katrina?

You're absolutely correct. They'd likely rather have thugs with guns roaming the streets at a time they're 600 cops short of their 1500 allotment and the average response time for 911 emergency calls is north of 10 minutes.

Solid point
