You guys think wire fraud and identify theft are ok? But think someone should be locked up for having a second home?

somebody prosecuted for mortgage fraud usually has the wire fraud tacked on there

Meh. The Founding Fathers gave that express power to the President in the Constitution. Would you care to hazard a guess as to why, exactly? I don’t know, myself. But I do know this, it probably wasn’t so that the President could pardon innocent sweethearts…..aren’t too many of them in prison to pardon.

Santos got stung by the FBI. His treasurer was previously picked up by the FBI doing the same things and was used to hang out Santos.

If George Santos deserves 7 years I'd gander to say 75% or more of the rest of the current sitting congress does also.

^^^^^
This is correct

But I would say give or take 25% deserves many more years in prison

And 15-20% should be facing treasonous charges

What’s really sad is that we can joke about this

But it’s true

Which is why I better not hear a peep if the next liberal president pardons a bunch of illegals for using stolen identities to work

Specifically for that, out of the blue, sudden outrage? I agree.

But practically speaking you’d be hearing peeps a plenty, just for general dislike of said liberal President. I mean, that’s nothing new of course.

Now, there are certain crimes for which Im sure everyone would protest a pardon, unanimously. But that’s obviously not what we’re talking about here, nor do I believe would be a realistic occurrence across the board, save for some obvious well-known, well researched and proven instance of injustice.

Incredible. Idiocracy is upon us. If Trump pardoned the Menendez brothers you’d say it was a masterstroke to gain the Latino vote.

If there was ever an example of this not being true, it's George Santos.

Gotta love when the Party of Law and Order commutes the sentence of someone who committed an indisputable crime and then President of Law and Order goes on some non sequitur marathon on social media to justify it. If the argument is the other side is just as bad then what we're talking about us v. them tribalism not rule of law. Sad state of affairs.

I love how POTUS Trump destroyed "Da Nang" Dick Blumenthal. Heck, I always felt stolen valor to be a crime.

I got no problem with this. He was definitely a weirdo who probably shouldn’t have been in congress but he was treated incredibly unfairly
