This highlights the short-sightedness of conservative principles. If we can get $1 trillion extra GDP by paying out $100 mil in welfare, then anyone with common sense would say it is worth it. Being against welfare on principle is fine, but blanket solutions to problems will regularly return bad results.
Solutions need to be tailored to the problem. Everyone in IT understands that even though best practices exist, they don't always resolve the issue. You have to look at each edge case individually to develop the most effective solution.

Maybe after Mexico pays for the wall Denmark we'll give us Greenland.

Why are we still acting like Russia is some big threat to do anything? They've already shown to be basically useless. The only threat they have is they may be dumb enough to set off nukes. They can barely handle Ukraine. Do we actually think they could invade and hold Greenland against even just the EU? China is more capable, but probably not dumb enough to attack

Oh for freak sake. There isn’t a trillion worth of “minerals” in Greenland. If there was it would be coming out of the ground already.

Knowing how Trump operates, I think he is playing 4D chess again. Not sure of his ultimate motive, but he knows we can't just take Greenland by force. However, maybe with all the threats to the U.S. from Western Europe, could Trump maybe be using that as an excuse to pull us out of NATO? For 80 years AMERICA has provided the majority of manpower and costs to uphold NATO, with little to no benefit to our country. Western Europe has continued to use us, maybe it is time to dump the waste and let them provide for their own defense! Bad enough Western European countries never repaid their WW2 debt to us!
