This couldn't be further from the truth. I know odds say that Trump is the most likely GOP candidate and I want to WIN THE GENERAL ELECTION.
Skipping the debates will only be another source of ridicule for him amongst his detractors, and he absolutely NEEDS to win over more voters to win the general

This is the ideal scenario for many of them. Trump beats DeSantis, which is all they really care about because they want head pats from Trump, and they get to keep the grievance train going for another four years. They wouldn’t know what to do with themselves if they couldn’t melt online all day everyday.
