Surges aren't supposed to be sustained indefinitely.

Also, they are supposedly getting cooperation from the locals now.

I imagine if the locals renege, the surge will come back into play.

Massie Pads and Panicans unite!!

Key word here is "surge".

quote:

Border czar Tom Homan said President Donald Trump has agreed with his proposal to conclude a federal immigration enforcement surge in Minnesota.

Homan last week had announced a drawdown of 700 agents from the area encompassing Minneapolis and St. Paul, a roughly 25% pullback that still left about 2,000 officers in place.

They've reportedly arrested and removed between 4,000 and 10,000 illegals in Minneapolis alone.

Good job ICE.

That’s a silly statement after the number of illegals who have been apprehended there.

Good. They will end the "surge". They will still keep doing what they have always done. I've said it before, split your traveling force into smaller groups, hit different cities unannounced for a week or two, then move to the next city.

Smaller groups don't get attention... a show of force does. This show of force ICE was doing was awesome for the internet and for us to laugh and cheer with, but it wasn't the best way to get the job done. Focus on the most efficient arrests around the country, not a show of force in one city.

At the end of the day, we pay them to get a job done and it's more important to do the job rather than make a political point by grabbing headlines.

Yup. And the paid protesters will have a harder time with their own logistics trying to keep up.

bullshite. They were in unmarked cars going from spot to spot down a list of illegals with deportation orders, not making a scene. The protestors are the ones who created a show of force in resistance to the ICE presence because local LE allowed it to happen.

They're not all in Minneapolis, man. Things have been going on all across the country simultaneously. You just don't hear about it in other places because those local governments aren't in open rebellion against the federal government like they were in Minnesota.
