It's really sad that this is what our government has fully shifted into: being forced to do their jobs.

If my boss has to force me to work, I'll be fired. And if he tries to force me to do something I'm not ok with, I'll either do it anyway because it's my job, or, if it's something I just can't go along with no matter what- I'll find a different job.

These are government officials, paid by our tax dollars. The thought that they have to be made to do what we pay them to do, and they still won't/don't- is very disconcerting and disgusting.

I mean seriously... any one of us would be fired.

So, how does the Executive require the Judicial to meet a quota?

Smells fishy.

illegal immigrants

Law is already broken and since they are not legal citizens they shouldn’t be protected by the same constitutional rights as a citizen.

Should be a hasty process.

Ok, then what are the consequences for judges that fail to meet their “quotas?” Penalties? Disbar?

Yikes. You should do some light reading on this subject as you clearly have no idea about the topic.

But to answer your question immigration judges are not part of the judicial branch. They are part of the executive branch.

No. They are not Article 3 judges. They are employees of the executive branch. They applied for their job like most other federal employees: through usajobs.

I think they are union jobs so you would need to refer to their manual. The best way to accelerate seportation proceesings is to hire more judges, not institute a quota.

They are Executive Department ALJs, not Article III judges.

Jeez. This is why I asked the question.

Can nobody answer a question without snark and bile these days?
