It's ALL a show for the kids. Elon wants to preserve his stock price and business. He and Trump are orchestrating this like a Broadway production.
frick Trump. No one has been more MAGA than me. But him not making DOGE cuts permanent should tell all you idiots what you need to know.
There will NEVER be changes. Its all a show, and all politicians are on the same team.

No, he isn't. True, they are a portion of the bill being discussed, but they are NOT the reason Elon is against said bill. He's against it for other reasons... it's a bad bill. Just because it contains a few good things doesn't mean it's NOT an overall bad bill. Of course, that doesn't play well with your narrative, does it?

I've only seen the spending

Elon is not tax the middle class guy

that would hurt his Telsa company with that kind of attitude

No, he hates big goverment like the rest of us

end that crap

Trump gave us hope but he isn't going into to the Chamber and having a come to Jesus talk like he should...

Trump gets one more term

is it making the best of it?

Lol...the petty off between these two will be fun to watch.

Also can't wait to watch all the libs welcome Elon and his billions of dollars back with open arms.

The libs have a big dilemma on their hands...they hate Trump, they hate Elon. Do they now want the BBB to pass the Senate now or do side with Elon?

Maybe it's all a big ploy.

It’s my #1 source for news. Love how their entire staff is straight down the middle and very fair to both parties. It’s literally the only news I truly trust on the internet

Maybe Elon needs that to try to get his business back in order.

If Elon hates Trump Dems will buy Teslas.

Elon has a vested interest in seeing the BBB fail as it hurts his business. Kind of hard to ignore that little factoid when listening to Elon rant about the bill.

I really don’t think it goes beyond that, but neither Trump nor Musk can shut up, so it’s probably not the end of this exchange.

To be perfectly honest, I still don’t know what to make of Musk in all of this.

Whatever.... Trump having Elon and his little kid (picking his nose) in the Oval in front of reporters was silly anyway. Elon praised Trump for 3 months and it was all an act.

If thats Musks thinking, then he should realize how politics works.

Would the Trump Tax Cuts extension pass on its own, yes.

but Trump realizes his other items or pork if you want toncLl them, have a much higher degree of difficulty getting over the hump. Imagine having to deal with Massie, McConnel, Rand Paul, Collins, Murowski on additional spending bills.

He has to add the pork to get the votes to overcome them.

This is the most do nothing Congress in decades. They might not pass a thing after this bill goes through

I like Musk as the "can do, dreamer, innovation" arm of the MAGA movement. Think big, out of box, no excuses, etc. I don't really think of him as a major ideological ally other than being sort of an anti-left voice.

I think he can still be that for the administration, at least unless the blood gets really bad.

Trump and Elon are fine. Trump is giving Elon cover so he can recover from the financial hit and his Tesla Stock and Dealerships took for supporting Trump and DOGE.

He's obviously consistent about government efficiency, waste and spending but I agree, we may not have many Venn overlaps outside of those. Too many unknowns.
