I'm really not sure what GEOTUS is getting at here.
I thought sending subs and carriers to the region is a good thing? If nothing else, to show strength and support?

So, what would he do differently? He wants to act like an alternative to a neocon, but then criticizes Biden for being weak.

The amount of firepower we have over there and on the way is way more than needed for Iran. In other words, something bigger is obviously about to kick off and it plays right into the hands of the US MIC and their DC puppet network.
Oh, I forgot to mention. Just in time for an ELECTION.

To the US? How so?
If we went to war against them, their Air Force wouldn’t make it off the tarmac, their Navy wouldn’t make it out of port, and what would their army do to us?
They can play the asymmetric game (car bombs, terrorist attacks, etc) and if they attack a plane or a ship they won’t get more than 1.
Their missiles have a limited range and beyond our troops in Syria (what are they there for) if they attack US bases in Europe or Turkey, then it’s game on with NATO.
They can take a shot but they only get one.

A) I can only guess that Trump is referring to telegraphing our military posture/movements. I sorta kinda get that in the sense that because of (B, below) you don't announce it until it is position or at least in the AO. If you are going to announce it, don't while in transit.
But....
B) the point is deterrence. You ain't deterring shite unless the deterred knows about it; and it is a submarine, you don't really sail it with flags raised through the straight of Hormuz. This is where Trump lost me (on this subject, not as a whole).

If you actually try to invade them, yes. However, that's due more to the terrain than the effectiveness of their military. They fought Iraq for 8 years to a stalemate. Three years later the U.S. went through the same Iraqi Army like shite through a goose in 3 weeks. The Iranian military is built more for internal pacification than force projection. I'm not saying that we need to go to war with Iran, but if we did, it would be a one-sided bloodbath.

Subs are the “silent” service. Why advertise where they are. Carriers are for advertising
