I don't mind a few other types of things, but the should go off of how nutritional it actually is, and no name brand.

I'm all for this - let's make people accountable for the things they get from the govt, since those things come from the taxpayer.

You scumbag losers expecting my tax dollars to take care of your property make me sick. No more police and fire for you deadbeat pieces of shite. You better be pulling security and manning the hoses. My tax dollars are not to be used for you to sleep at night while someone else keeps your property safe.

I'm totally onboard with this. I'm so tired of you deadbeats. Let's make sure the deadbeats eating up all these govt services are paying a price. If you are in need and the govt does something for you because you can't take care of business, you'll be writing some checks and if you don't....

Who determines what junk food is? And what happens when the lobbyists come around and tell the govt to restrict your purchases to the dietary recommendations that were corruptly constructed, which is among the most unhealthy things our govt has ever put out there? The dietary guidelines, telling people to suck down a ton of carbs, is why our nation is so fat.

Do any of you mongoloids realize that having the govt do this would force people to eat just as unhealthy as they currently eat? Instead of education and convincing people on welfare to go buy eggs and protein sources, you'll mandate they get on "grains", which will inevitably lead to making Doritos and similar items accessible, along with those bran muffins, etc. Maybe they won't be able to buy Snickers, but they'll get a mountain of Cheetos. Same destination.

Oh and let's also make people, many of whom are homeless, get things that must all be put into a refrigerator. If there's anything those homeless people have, it's a way to keep things cool. Hey homeless man, here's your milk and cheese and meat, don't forget to thank the govt for keeping you well nourished when all of it rots and you have nothing to eat.

And it's oh so interesting to see people that so often want the govt to not get involved, then demand to see the govt get involved in some of the dumbest ways imaginable.

Food deserts, just wait for it, food deserts, 60 minutes probably already has half a dozen shows taped to combat it.

Show some poor ghettos where the only food in the stores close to my place are junk food, so its eat that or starve.

Now we skip over the part where the reason for this is you burned down all the other stores during st george day. Or the fact that several modes of public transport are available......nah its the govts fault.

I'm a productive fattie! I buy all my fatty shite with money I work for. So I 100% agree with adding junk foods to the banned list when it comes to ebt. I'm already paying for my own fat arse to eat junk food... why should I pay for other fat asses to eat junk food?

If you’re NOT for government intervening in a different way - limiting foods that welfare recipients can buy - then you should be for non-intervention: letting them buy anything they wish with the money that they earn.

Continuing to hand them cash to purchase Cocoa Puffs doesn’t work. Because, we’re broke.

Let’s just cater an entire government program around the homeless guy down the street, makes complete sense.

Sounds like a good idea. Anyone who gets food stamps probably also gets Medicaid. Eating healthy food could help save on medical costs.

We're talking about food stamps. The government not being involved isn't an option unless we're talking about ending those.

Very average people love central planning. It covers for their own ineptitude.
