Well I don't feel good about paying YOUR student loans off. Frick that. Who is paying for mine and my kids? We paid it ourselves. Are we getting a rebate? Nope. They just bought your vote, which is as you say, more stupid shite. Damn I despise democrats.

You're a loser and can't even fulfill your obligations without a government handout.

Just know you're no better than the lady that has 8 kids so she can collect government paychecks each month.

This is a pretty moronic take, regardless how you feel about this dumb shite. I hate getting screwed by the government, but I'm not going to hate people who get it based purely on them getting it. How fricking dumb is that?

The fact that you weren’t in a position to be able to pay back the money you borrowed with the understanding you would have to pay it back later strongly indicates you aren’t.

You keep avoiding a direct question
No I didn't. You just don't like the answer. I can't take a bailout for something I never took in the first place.

I mean, you're trying to do the same thing the twitter posters are trying to do -- make this about the people getting the benefits -- rather than about the people paying for them.

That's not an accidental shift. If we only examine the beneficiaries of something -- ANYTHING can be made to look good. Even a steaming pile of isht fertilizes the soil. Must be great on a sandwich, right?

^^^^
This.

It is not that he is getting it. It is that others who were responsible citizens are having to pay for this crap with no benefit to them whatsoever.

And those clowns are bragging about. Hell no.

You've avoided the question multiple times... if given the opportunity to remove debt because of a government directive, would you decline it?

No, so shut the frick up about this

I'm seeing lots of posts: "I know X people that are going get their loans forgiven. I'm so happy for them, even though I'm not getting anything from this".

It's all over the place, everyone seems to be parroting it...

But what I don't understand... why didn't these people just pay off their friends loans, if it is so great?

Because...

If you're happy with your friends who met a nice lady and got married, why didn't you pay for their wedding?

What debt? I refused the loans to begin with.

I'm not the one suggesting paying other people's bills with tax dollars is a good thing.

That said, if I had friends in financial distress, without families, I'd definitely consider it. Otherwise I feel the same as I do about student borrowers. Everyone should pay their own personal expenses.

Either way, I wouldn't want taxpayer dollars used for it.

because its always about using other people's money. Like with illegal families. You never hear of the libs taking a family in and living in their house on their dime. All of their morality is always paid for with other people's money.

Is this supposed to be a comparison to the government forcing taxpayers to pay off loans for people that chose to borrow money, fully aware they’d be expected to pay it back?

Yeah this is why I hate this board, tduecen is one of the best posters and people are tripping over themselves to rag on him and suggest his vote can be bought.

I don’t agree with your position of “oh well, it benefits me, about time I get something too”, simply because this is one of the biggest most apparent “these people win, these people lose” situations the government has ever suggested and will therefore never be able to make it right. But I know you are a strong enough thinker to see through it.

Hold up.

I just realized something...dude's been posting since 2006? He's got to be at least 35 years old (probably older).

How long was this guy in school? How long does it take to pay back a loan? and he's still more than $20k in debt?

FFS...this guy isn't the poster child for anyone concerning good financial decisions.
