Goodness. This isn’t a mortgage down payment or a binary SDN list issue. The fact sheet gives no details as expected.

They need to figure out how to stop them from using crypto though.
That would kill the crypto markets so no

How do they stop it?
It won’t stop anything
They will just pay a percentage to trusted members of their community who aren’t on welfare to do it for them

I have no problem restricting the rights of people on publuc assistance. Don't like it? Dpn't ask me to pay your bills. But I don't see how this works. Bessent seems like a serious guy though and I imagine he has a plan. He's not just throwing put random thoughts.

They'll take cash or a check to Western Union and they'll wire it.

It galls me this is a 'new' thing.
Getting taxpayer monies and then remitting it to people in another country should be, and should have been for decades, considered fraud and theft thus providing the criminal basis for deportation or visa cancellation automatically.
Should really look hard at student visas and HB-1 visas also, not just fraud hotspots.

This is the most profound, poetic, and poignant response I’ve read about the current state of crypto.

I work in banking. Are they going to send us a list lol. How is this going to work?
I mean, a simple database that you type a name into, and it gives you a simple green go, red nogo would suffice.
Penalties of 5 years in prison and 1 million dollar fine + revoking bennifits for those that violate.
Its not rocket surgery.

They knew. It's a vote buying operation. All the way down to admitting certain nationalities through asylum.

You can literally buy Bitcoin on cash app… why do we think there’s bitcoin ATMs in the hood? People buy drugs with it
