It was not an attempted spin.
The court was most likely going to rule in Iran's favor, but instead of waiting for the ruling, Obama's admin worked out the payout for the hostages.
And don't delfect. You were only aware of the 1.7B and were shitposting 58x! 58x! 58x! on every relative thread.
Totally unaware of the other monies involved from lack of due diligence. So the question was a valid one.
