Easy solution, don’t shop there. Still find it weird the right jumping on cancel culture which is just as left.

It isn’t cancel culture to stop shopping somewhere. Cancel culture is government and business getting together to take people’s jobs, and generally exiling them from society. Not even close to the same thing.

Voting with your wallet is nothing remotely like cancel culture.

The left uses it as a means of intimidation.

The right uses it as a means of defiance.

There’s two very different kinds of cancel culture: supply side and demand side.

Demand side canceling is simply consumers boycotting a product, personality, or company because of their conduct or beliefs. This is the free market in action. While I don’t always agree with boycotts, I don’t have to participate in them. I can continue buying that product if I want.

Supply side canceling is when a product or personality is pulled from shelves, online marketplaces, or telecom platforms due to their actions or beliefs. While a boycott seeks to effectively remove a product by making it unprofitable, a supply side cancellation removes the consumer from the picture. This is youtube demonitizing or shadow-banning content creators, aws refusing to host their websites, or large banking institutions closing and freezing their accounts. The consumer doesn’t get a chance to decide if they approve or disapprove of the company or individual’s actions. Their product is removed from the market by a small but powerful group of multi-national corporations that work together with the government.

Supply side cancellations are FAR more Orwellian. With a boycott, a company can atone for their actions or seek new customers. With a demand side cancellation, the company is simply blackballed from commerce. It’s Orwellian and reminiscent of tactics employed by Nazi and Communist regimes.

Meh.

This seems like an overreaction. Everyone has a DEI officer; the funded gender care is just about the level of insurance they provide.

And the last I checked, tranny and gay dollars were just as green as red-blooded heterosexual dollars. And they are a business.

WTF should Tractor Supply care if their customers are gender confused carpet munchers so long as they are buying scratch for their laying hens?

This is why "conservatives" get run over.

Used to be the church would go all fire and brimstone on this shite but even they sit silent now.

I believe in individual liberty and small government.

No one is making you shop at Tractor Supply. If this upsets you, don't go there.

If I boycotted every business with a DEI officer, I'd have nowhere to shop.

This just isn't worth getting my panties in a wad.
