This was obvious. The NBC execs popped champagne when she said the blackface thing knowing they might be able to get themselves out of one of the worst contracts I've ever seen.

She'll use Jimmy Fallon's blackface as leverage here and threaten to go to trial and sue for damages, too. All she has to threaten to do is to subpoena Fallon to talk about why he wasn't also fired, or made to apologize on-air, when he did Chris Rock in blackface, a much more egregious lapse in judgment that hers.
