In an effort to try and defend Trump on here you are reduced to posting about what the price of gasoline and oil was in 1976 adjusted for inflation like it matters to anyone who is dealing with Trump's Price Hike and Trumpflation that was 100% self inflicted via bad decisions and policies. Welp.

So we agree, Trumps policies are driving up gas prices.
Not that this was ever really in doubt but whatever.

You saying inflation isn’t relevant is hilarious considering you whine constantly about inflation.
Just like you whine about the US government having a stake in private entities. Something that has been happening since 1791.
You are too stupid to know what to think. All you know is OMB. You aren’t special. You aren’t smart. You’re just another run of the mill TDS infested loser.

Oil prices are just fine. Gas is high. You made my point for me.

Jody or Kadeem in Acadia Parish don't care what the price of oil or gasoline was in 1976 adjusted for inflation they care what the price of gasoline/diesel is now in October of 2026. Your average American voter doesn't care either.

Doesn't matter what I think it matters what voters particularly in swing states think and anyone that goes to a grocery store or gas station knows what the deal is right now.

Trump is no different than any other President - he will do some good things and some bad things. Unfortunately for The Cult he has made some very bad decisions this year that have impacted your run of the mill voter in a midterm election year.

Neither is Trump.

You have actual TDS which doesn't stand or mean what you think it does.

Yes. The average American voter, like you, is a complete idiot. Glad you can admit that.

Proving my point that all you are is another OMB TDS infested loon. A billionaire that has been elected President twice and has more votes for President than anyone in history isn’t special? That’s objectively false. Dummy.

Neither are Middle Eastern Wars.
Yes. It’s a huge war. Can you describe the most recent battle in this monstrous effort?
Hint: you can’t.

Compelling, Corky. Your entire post proves my point.

Gas was high under Biden and Obama as a feature
Sure but there's also this
2026 sets new record for days with average gas price above $4
quote:
Oct. 14 marked 158 consecutive days since the national average went back above that $4 threshold. The 2022 record of 157 days came after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine disrupted global oil markets.
Regular unleaded gasoline was $1.26 higher than the same time last year, at $4.33 per gallon as of Oct. 14, according to data from AAA. In some states, that average was significantly higher — Alaska was at $4.98 per gallon, Hawaii was at $5.64, and California was at $6.26.
Diesel prices remained significantly elevated as well: The national average price for a gallon of diesel was $6.30 on Oct. 14, according to AAA. It was high as $8.41 in California.

It was $3.12/ gallon in Feb 2025, now hanging around $4.27/ gallon. All within Trump's control.
Fuel prices today are much higher than they were when Trump took office and there is a direct correlation to when he started the war with Iran. Choosing to ignore this with a 2 decade old whataboutism is some serious cope.
When we look at the fracture in the Rep party, it all has to do with Trump ignoring his campaign promises.
People who supported him to get elected have distanced themselves and now what used to be never Trumpers (Shapiro and Levin) are now pro Trump along with boomers and people like yourself.
