I'll say it again, we're taking stakes in corporations and offering $5k for votes.

Trump designed and executed a war in Iran that drove oil prices from $60 to $100. It's pretty damn linear. High fuel prices are a feature of that misadventure.
It was $72 when he took office. It is under $100 today. Average. Yet gas is high. You didn’t answer my question. How has average oil prices led to high gas prices. And which Trump policy caused it?
You won’t answer because you can’t.

A few on China so no, he did not keep all of them.

We agree
No, we don't. Biden kept a few select one on China only and got rid of the rest.

how am I lying?
Biden didn't keep all of Trump's tariffs across the globe.

Why do you ivory and roadgator call people liars constantly?
Because you constantly lie on here and think nobody will take 2 seconds to research like your blatant lie about mortgage rates yesterday.

Quantify that. How much does it affect gas prices. Be specific.

Oil companies don't set fuel/gasoline prices
Have you ever tired of the mental gymnastics you use to try and defend Trump's incompetence? Just like nobody cares what the price of oil or gasoline was in 1976 adjusted for inflation.

People are idiots. Add up all the direct costs of illegals in beni’s and taxes we pay and it’s way more than fuel. That has way more impact on their pocket book

Caused is looking for one answer but the answer is multiple things, including his ridiculous trade war.
We're putting a 10% tariff on Canadian energy and 25% on Mexican.
We're also tariffing steel, aluminum, electronics, etc. all of which contribute to rising costs of oil and gas infrastructure, etc.
Crude oil is the largest piece of the cost of producing gasoline.

Fuel prices sure were important when Trump was campaigning on lowering fuel prices. But now that his war with Iran has driven fuel prices through the roof it's just "poors crying"?
It so disingenuous and pathetic. I really wonder if these idiots realize how hypocritical they are. But the echo chamber has its talking points and they will be repeated over and over.

I swear, all some of you folks think about is the current price of gas
Its not just gasoline.
high grocery prices
all time high diesel prices
inflation
high mortgage rates
war in Iran
wasteful spending
etc.

Yeah we also had a debate about what the rate was like a week ago and you argued people pay higher rates due to their credit score and circumstances which is you not being honest either. So get off your pedestal. Again waiting for you to come beat up me and my family because you can’t have a conversation

same price as 19 years back. again these people are lucky it is not 10 a gallon.
Who gives a frick what it was 19 years ago?
It was $3.12/ gallon in Feb 2025, now hanging around $4.27/ gallon. All within Trump's control.

To be fair. If that is all he has (don’t forget about his HSA!!) it makes sense gas prices cripple him. But he will tell you he is too 30% in Louisiana!

Which of trumps policies caused average oil prices to turn into high gas prices? You’re making an accusation yet you can’t seem to back it up?

Trump wants to cut $5k checks, have government own a stake in private companies, and has offered up price controls as a solution and I'm the communist/socialist? Make it make sense.
