Smarter way = insanely expensive fines and/or jail time for employers employing illegals. Would be a massive success.

If we didn’t count illegals for census purposes I would be fine with them just focusing on states and cities who are willing to cooperate. The only reason the left wants them is for federal money based off population and those under poverty line.

While I agree, if we did it, the "wiring" would just go off the grid.

Here in Trinidad we have a lot of Venezuelans. I asked one of them how he got money back home. He said Western Union is way too expensive so he uses a local guy.

He sets a time with him and he tells his wife to set the time in Venezuela. He goes to the fella's home here, hands him 300 bucks US and pays a fee. They get on whats app with his partner in Venezuela and his wife is in the office, puts them on speaker and says, hand the woman 300 cash. And thats it.

He said the military guards the guy's house in Venezuela. I had to laugh. So let me get this straight, the US puts sanctions on Maduro, and he uses the laundering of his drug money as a profit center due to the fact we have tightened the market.

This A-Hole of a reporter didn't mention, the absolute, complete corruption of Minneapolis Mayor's office and the police department... who just let 911 calls fall silent, never sent police to protect ICE & the public.

The liability of those two protestors deaths, lies first with the individuals, second with Mayor Jacob Frey, who refused local LEO to get involved. If I were the families of the victims, this is who I'd be critical of.

And Tom Homan and the Trump administration should sue the Minneapolis City, for restitution in costs of an operation which was far more expensive, thanks to their policy.

Why target American citizens?

Why not just change the law for being here illegally such that it became a felony with a minimum 10 year prison sentence?

It would work just as well and you're targeting illegals instead of Americans.

Or you could just target the illegals themselves.

I don't understand the desire to hurt Americans over this.

That has always been my smarter way. They should go through the records of all employers that are required to E-Verify and verify what they have in fake SS cards are fake.

Who are “They”? And what would they be verifying again?

Yep. This is the real problem. Also, if a business owner decides he/she knows what false papers look like, that business owner would likely face a lawsuit because he/she will inevitably get this wrong. He/she must take the determination of e-verify as accurate.

You are just playing dumb. They=ICE. and you know as well as I that illegals have fake SS numbers. The employer obviously puts a profit over patriotism. Flush them out.
