This is not horrible advice. You never willingly hand over any documents, business or personal unless compelled to do so. There is always a proper channel or avenue to follow that protects your rights. This situation is no different. If there is a dispute between the national archives and a former President, there are established channels to resolve the dispute. That’s not what happened here. The Biden DOJ interjected themselves into the situation because they saw an opportunity to make criminal matter out of it. We know this is what happened because the senior FBI agent testified that normal protocols were not followed and his suggestion to try and mediate a resolution was ignored. Simply put, they used the opportunity to try and build an obstruction case because they had no interest in trying to reach an amicable solution that satisfied all parties

There’s no negotiation over documents containing classified/national defense information. The grand jury subpoena made that crystal clear. Instead he hid documents and had his assistant lie about it.
