Even in street clothes right before they effect an arrest/detain they whip out badges.

sometimes undercover LEOs are never named in court proceedings. There are processes in place to protect the identity of officers if the risk of retribution is significant. Its the same justification here. None of this is new.
I can give you great reasons why ICE agents should be able to work under cover, but I've yet to hear a good reason why Gavin wants them unmasked.

Unless they're engaged in official, clandestine (undercover duties or similar statutorily or policy-based scenarios) operations, they should not be able to hide from the public.

Well they’re being attacked and doxed by terrorist supported by a political party who is breaking the law on a daily basis so yes, different rules apply.

One thing Ive learned about left leaning lawyers is they really hate cops.
Its a pretentious thing. They believe they are so superior to cops that poilice should have no power over them.
They are ruled by emotion, not reason. A reasonable person would understand that ICE masking up has zero influence on their operations.
