There are lots of things that 'exist' that should not be taught in elementary school. Like:
a. How abortions are done.
b. African female genital mutilation lessons.
c. Violent PMS that your mother might have.

In elementary school we should concentrate on reading, writing, math and basic science. Diet and healthy eating might also be added these days.

Should we end the National Report Card showing how the schools in each state are doing?

We should end the Dept of education, but we should limit legislatively ... IN A BILL ... what it can do... mainly data and stats. While ending the Dept of Educ sounds good ... the reality is we compete globally against China and others and there is a limited role the federal govt should play.
