I agree, we are living in a simulation. I have read Nick Bostrom's books and read several papers on the subject ... watched a few lectures.

But you're never going to open possibilities to others and/or expand minds by taking your approach on a board like this. This is not the place ... not with your approach.

We've had some good discussions about Simulation Theory on the Physics Forums. Check it out. I'm Higgs Boson over there ... long time member.

Deja vous ... glitch in the program? Who knows. Unexplained coincidences ... I don't believe in them. ESP ... it's the program. God is real. Fermi's Paradox is for a reason. Black holes, worm holes and singularities are not the same. Math is not the universal language. .... and yeah, everything happens for a reason. It's all predetermined to some degree.

The painting part is so fricking retarded. If you think that's even "interesting," then you're dumb as hell.

I normally don't insult people, but reading comprehension is not your strong suit huh? There was nothing in that post to convince anyone of anything. It was intentionally vague. I know you struggle hard at life if that's what you came out of that post with. Sorry life is hard for you my friend. I hope it gets better.

One of my favorite sayings is “Be informed and not influenced.”

This has no bearing on the OP though.

That is a nice saying. It's hard to not be influenced in today's age with AI, psyops, technology, it's damn near impossible to see what is real and what is not real. Ai is getting increasingly more difficult to spot, but it still has flaws sometimes that are easily spotted.

You sound like a lazy fricking middle school teacher. Here is a QR code for a YouTube video to learn how to factor binomials.

Add some fricking value. At least get high and give us a humorous take.

You make a good point here. Perhaps not the right platform, I just thought it would be a creative way to get the juices flowing.

I will definitely check that website out, seems intriguing enough. I love getting into these discussions. There are a lot of trolls on this website, so it makes sense given the audience.

I guess it's not TD without someone hurling insults at you.
I do joke sometimes too -- but I don't typically try to insult people.

Christians indeed believe that we exist in a ‘Simulation’, with even “the hairs on your head are numbered “. We further believe that The Simulator loves us beyond our greatest imaginations. And the He has sent His Son - Firstborn of Man - to save us from ourselves.

So we are riding the top of the adventure wave and doing our research while waiting for the big Reveal.

A tad less condescension might help your cause. Whatever that is.

That would have defeated the entire premise of how I structured the post. It was intentionally vague and thought provoking.

Your first instinct was to insult me, what does that say about you?

I don't get the downvotes. There are some free thinkers among us.

Perhaps intentional or just coincidental, but I've not noticed your presence on this board before. I'm by far not the most observant though, and generally only notice the frequent posters, the mega-trolls (who i ignore), the absolute morons, those who actually engage me in civil discourse, and those who really catch my attention.

The part of your post that I quoted, it definitely caught my attention and I like your style.

And as far as what other posters have said, I tend to disagree that this board "isn't the place to get people to think". I say a whole bunch of stuff on here that I genuinely believe and/or know, and it often doesn't even get upvotes or downvotes. Maybe I'm just posting little nothings into the ether, but when it catch an upvote or downvote either way it makes me smile, because it confirms that I reached someone and caused them to consider my perspective.

Me neither, just pressing buttons like children. They are in search of a dopamine hit, like fiends, or an addicted smoker in a craze for a nicotine hit.

I don't post often, hardly at all, due to reasons above as it's not the place for it. I don't expect any intelligent conversation from many people from this board due to the nature of its origin, a college fanatic audience.

I'm glad you enjoyed the perspective, as you can see from above, reasons why I don't post much. Not many people get the idea.
