I've seen the original pic of that girl. She was being apprehended with her mom at the border (you can see the border patrol car and the agents frisking her mom). She was never locked in a cage to my knowledge.

And she was not seeking asylum either, unless we are to believe that our "ports of entry" are dark dirt roads in the desert. Because that's where this happened.
