Fox

quote:

Democratic Sen. Tim Kaine is getting fact-checked for claiming the Las Vegas shooter was “only” stopped because he did not have a silencer on his guns. The Virginia senator made the comments to The Washington Post on Monday, as his 2016 running mate Hillary Clinton made similar remarks – taking to Twitter to imagine how much deadlier the massacre might have been if silencers had been used. “He only was stopped finally because he didn’t have a silencer on his weapon,” Kaine told The Washington Post. “And the sound drew people to the place where he was ultimately stopped. Can you imagine what this would have been if he’d had silencers on these weapons?”

quote:

Both Clinton and Kaine brought up silencers, or suppressors, out of concern that Congress was poised to approve legislation making it easier to get the devices. (The vote still has not been scheduled.) But The Washington Post Fact Checker gave Kaine “Two Pinocchios” for his comments.

We all know why his statements are dumb because it's been discussed ad nauseum.

My question is does he know he's wrong, but thinks if he keeps saying it the ignorant masses will call for action? Or is he just that dumb?

I don't want gun laws being crafted by politicians who have literally zero clue about basic gun structure, gun types, and ammo facts

Would the world be literally any different without Tim Kaine. Has to be the most worthless politician I can remember.

What are you talking about? That's a legitimate position that's going to be a winner for Democrats in the mid-terms next year! A WINNER!!!!

Seeing Clinton and Kaine in the same sentence makes me think they still believe they're campaigning for an election.

Serious question. Would not a silencer which supresses the noise also greatly reduce the velocity of the bullets but also overheat quickly when firing at a rapid pace?

Tim Kaine may very well be the most irrelevant presidential running mate of all time.

A "silencer" is what movie spies use.

In real life, its a suppressor.

No, a suppressor would not have made much difference in this situation. It would likely fail from heat.

A supersonic round is still loud as hell.

It is unfathomable that people voted for him and Hillary.

Take a look at Facebook and look at the number of people repeating this crap, though.

In general, I try my best not to step on a soap box about something unless I'm very knowledgeable about. That doesn't seem to be other people's policy.
