Thousands of dead registered to vote in Detroit

Wonder if it ever occurred to anyone to actually look at their voting history? ie... dead for 10 years but voted in the last 2 general elections....(for Lib's of course)

Here in Texas, we do not register by party, so I ask this question in an effort to gain knowledge.

Let us say that one political party or the other is actually using the names of dead people to vote in elections. I rather doubt that they are undertaking that task in primary elections of either party, but rather in the general election. Why? Because a political party would have the organization and funding to undertake such an effort. I doubt that an individual running in a primary election would have the same resources.

Would not a corrupt party undertaking this practice use the names of dead voters of both parties in order to rig an election? With the fraudulent vote of a dead Republican not be just as effective for an unscrupulous Democrat, as that of a dead Democrat?
