You aren't concerned one but with America's safety. The day after SandyHook, the entire country should have been on board with banning assault weapons. All this board did was champion the rights of gun owners and want to give the schools themselves guns after 20 kids were killed by a mentally ill white kid.

Now I'm supposed to be scared of something a Syrian refugee "might do" as opposed to the countless domestic attacks that have been committed by American citizens?

Please.... Spare me your fake concern for America's safety when "politics" on the Right get in the way of banning assault rifles and other weapons used to take mass lives in this country

Your politics are actually "undefined liberty", which means that anyone can do anything, anywhere, anytime. This leads to chaos and anarchy which is your chosen method to destroy America.

Liberty must be defined according to a people's wishes and defended vigorously (with blood if necessary). Our Constitution does this, but not according to the left's wishes (and yours), which is why they seek to destroy it.

You have pushed the issue to the point of mass violence, it will be settled by violence.

You will not like the result.

No he's not. He's too much of a poon to go full ancap, meaning that he has acknowledged limitations in the past. But that won't stop him from the self-righteous appeals to muh principles!!

So you want to ban cars and illegal drugs also then? After all, they kill more people than your assault rifles. Try to get back on topic about terrorists immigrating into the US.

Hilarious.

Oh, wait. You actually think the refugee ban will make the US safer.

It is pointless to argue with mentally ill people or disingenuous liars. Their arguments are senseless, circular, full of deceit and ulterior motive. Logic is not their friend...

They defend their arguements with violent protest that must be addressed similarly.

I will keep my weapons, thank you, just in case.

And if he was really so intetested in protecting this country why didnt he ban countries that have actually committed terrorist acts against us?

Because we have already dealt with those who have actually committed terrorist acts against us, and now we are taking steps to prevent terrorist strikes here from the terrorists who have attacked many targets in Europe recently. They are in Europe now and they are trying to get here, according to ISIS websites, to do us harm.

I think it is you who are thinking short term.

What do you think terrorist think of the US excluding Muslims? What do you think the world ( some of our allies) think about banning Muslims?

let me just say this argument is as retarded as OP

they will use anything against us

if we let in refugees, we're protecting infidels and their enemy

if we don't let in refugees, we're discriminating against Muslims

Jihadists and Terrorists don't deal in rational rhetoric

I support the ban, but Trump has been his own worst enemy. From day one of his campaign, he should have only talked about banning people from certain countries. When making his announcement on this EO, his first sentence should have mentioned Obama's name and he should have mentioned Obama's 2011 ban on Iraqis and Obama's classification of the seven countries. And it never, ever should have included people with valid visas. You want to start making visas harder to get...great. But you don't detain someone with a valid visa who just got off a plane. There was little if any input from DOS or DHS officials.

I like you as a poster but... Are you really suggesting that anyone who didnt agree with Trump's EO as written is against public safety?
I remember the last time conservatives had the white house. There was this same "if you arent with us you are against us" attitude with 9/11 and then iraq...

I am not so fearful of terrorism that i am willing to turn my back on true Americanism to feel safer. frick the terrorists. They win of they destroy our values. The patriot act was Bin Laden's greatest victory

As a long term employee of Microsoft, i can tell you they are one of the biggest abusers of the H1B program. So many jobs go to foreigners that could go to US citizens. It drives down wages across the entire company. It also makes internal competition so bad there is constant internal backstabbing and wars between departments all fighting over that next review as there is less upward mobility and less raise tiers. It's part of the reason innovation was at a standstill for years. The Windows platform and office divisions were at war for 3 years.

It's certainlyno worse than the logic behind banning refugees in the first place.

How many refugees have carried out fatal terrorist attacks in the US? Oh yeah; it's 0.

Yep. The same crowd that applauds measures to gut Medicaid which covers the bulk of those with a mental illness. And hey look, the Republicans just this week reversed a regulation that made it harder for those with a mental illness to obtain a gun.
