I understand your reasoning, but restraining a man and ignoring his pleas for medical help while he’s bleeding profusely need to have some consequences. Those cops have eyes, ears, and brains, and should have been able to assess what was required in that situation. He wasn’t resisting and wasn’t a threat.

The result you won't admit is that police will push back against trainings that will land them in prison.

They should be put to death, honestly. Will have to settle for ten to twenty years for early parole

My guess is that when cops go to handcuff people they are constantly hearing “I can’t breathe”; “My shoulder hurts”; I’m having a heart attack”. The cop in question heard the guy say “I’ve been stabbed” and followed with, “I don’t think you have.” He was wrong. The guy had been stabbed. But it’s clear that the cop didn’t think so. He should have made certain. If he had the guy might be alive today. And for that he should be disciplined. But prison?
A separate, and more important question, in my opinion, is why are minorities presumed to be in the right? This is where I think the system is failing, not in the isolated instance of a cop not realizing the guy had actually been stabbed.

So you've never considered that police accept the trainings that won't get them in trouble?
They accepted this woke race theory training which determines how they behave.
If they now have a reason to reject such a training because there is punishment on both sides, then they will be more likely to reject such left wing training.
They have agency, they accept because the punishment is one sided.

How about putting them in civilian clothes and dropping them off in one of the no go zones?
