Here's another link to show their DEI support:
I have no doubt they are DEI oriented, but fail to see how revamping a brand like they did relates.
Its obvious they want to expand their customer base, but chose an odd way to show it. You have to embrace the old with the new.

How many times a week you eat at cracker barrel? O/U 3 times.
Well. Now that you showed you only read one sentence, can I laugh at your laziness

What pisses me off about this whole thing is the CEO thinking the atmosphere and theme of the restaurant was the problem.
Cracker Barrel’s problem the last 5-6 years is food quality and cleanliness. It used to be the place I knew I could stop, have a decently clean bathroom and solid meal. It was never top shelf, but it was always enjoyable. The last few times, the quality of food and service has just not been good. We have not been back in years, but if I heard from the CeO that they were doubling down on food quality and service, I would go give them a shot.

You going to wait 20-40 years to market to these people?

No, I get it. There isn't a reasonable alternative explanation. I was just describing it in analytical. The proper business decision would have been to follow the Chili's model.
What they're doing is going to, effectively, destroy the company or seriously weaken it. Over and over we've seen it. We can certainly agree that, knowing everything else we know about the company, the Bud Light thing was just a fumble. What is happening at, say, Disney and now Cracker Barrel is obviously, demonstrably on purpose.
They're willing to lose money to move the culture.
(You and I are not in disagreement.)

They removed the charm, they have removed any traces of country

Ate at one today with dad in Huntsville. It was packed. Food was good.
The current CB is like a 1970's decorated house with shag carpet, linoleum, wood paneling and the avocado green appliances or harvest gold appliances. Time to upgrade.

The food and service has gotten worse over the years. I wouldn't mind visiting Cracker Barrel after the remodel if the food was still good. But that new sign/logo looks stupid and knowing the new CEO is a flaming lib, makes me okay never going there again.

"You wanna know why I think people are upset? It’s like America’s out-of-touch distant cousin from up north came into town and remodeled grandmas house and threw away all of our favorite stuff, and they did it without even calling us. They just posted a picture online instead, with their pretentious “my way is better, what do you know?” attitude. Meanwhile, the rest of us have already decided that all future get togethers will be somewhere else, pretty much anywhere but the place of our betrayal. Thanks for ruining Americas official place to feel at home while away from home."
I can't tell you the last time I've been to Cracker Barrel, but I can tell you I won't be going back. It was a nice slice of Southern Americana, and they torched it.
Next thing you know, they'll 86 the grits for "cream of wheat."

We are going to stop having hungry, old people?

Ridiculing ridiculous things ensures a proper society. People have forgotten this.

Thanks for the pics. Looks like a Taco Bell.

This is not an 'upgrade'. This is the culmination of a total renovation. You just can't see or comprehend the difference. And preface it to say that I am not a Cracker Barrel loyalist as I have probably only eaten there 4-5 times total. And I agree with some other posters that the impending destruction of this business/brand is calculated and intentional.
