I get a runner’s magazine, ( I don’t run, the previous house owner apparently did) and on one of the first pages this picture came up.
Why does it have to a be, look at me, I’m black and run? What’s special about a black person running and why does a black runner need special recognition?
It seems to me that black people have to make every issue about blackness. And as long as they look at the world though black eyes only, it’s never going to change.
In fact, I’d say we are regressing.

When you start pandering, you can't be surprised when people start taking advantage of that.

Black race consciousness is a curious mix of self-loathing and narcissism. Let's destroy each other-but first-let's take a moment to celebrate how special we are.

With that spare tire around her waist, doesn’t look like she runs much.

It’s so wrong to take that away from the gays.

I was thinking the same thing. She'd run to the buffet line when they put out fresh crab legs.

The problem with race in this country is simple. It's not an issue of white racism, although I'm not denying this exists. All humans have inherently racist impulses. The problem is; we've given minorities cultural license to celebrate, segregate, and even discriminate along racial lines. We do this under the backdrop of a civil rights history that taught against this very form of systemic bigotry. This has only bred resentment among whites and enflamed racism in minority communities.

Change my mind.
