Dog had incredible closing speed. And the leap at full speed and didn't miss the guys hand?
Best part was when the partner was trying to pull him off and the dog was like, "No partner, I'm not done chewing on this MFer!".

I've seen some videos where the dog just runs past a bunch of people to get to the perp. It's pretty amazing

Don't know if it happened in this case but we know that the human body emits chemicals that create subtle body odor changes from strong emotional reactions that only dogs can smell. They can actually smell fear.
