No, the government spent it all.

Who do you think comprises most of “the government”? Boomers. Who is promising these young morons free stuff in exchange for votes? Boomers. Who has fanned the flames of the Marxist nonsense for the last 40+ years? Boomers. Y’all are supposed to be the adults in the room.

The problem is everyone wants to blame a generation for the problems of the world. All generations need to accept responsibility but they are just too proud to admit that they have problems.

Minimum wage is for entry level workers, not for supporting a family.

Money stolen from a paycheck and paid back later is not an entitlement.

It's actually theft if you don't receive your entire principal back.

No. It's still theft, because I've lost the opportunity cost of that money. I've long ago paid more into SS than I will get out, with any reasonable estimated ROI.

Almost everyone would have more money for retirement had they invested it themselves. And we'd have more capital available to apply in growing our economy.

Thanks for proving my point. Who failed to teach their millennial children personal responsibility? Boomers.

Again, this isn’t about YOU. It’s about your generation as a whole and what I’m saying is undeniably true. It’s obvious. You may be offended because you voted the right way or did things the right way but the vast majority of the Boomers did not. Someone taught the moron millennials that everything could be fixed with free stuff. Who would that be?

again, this is silly. Expecting "boomers" to force personal responsibility on millennials is silly. Nothing is stopping millennials from demanding less spending, less free stuff, and more personal responsiblity. Yet... you never see it. You see the opposite, actualy.

yup. It's just another example of the blame displacement they're famous for. It's not like they don't know personal responsibilty exists. They just expect someone else to provide it for them. Ironic. The opposite of how personal responsibility works.

I agree.

But the Boomers (as a whole…not individually) certainly have run up insane amounts of debt to their own benefit.

See this is the problem. Your success or failure IS about YOU. Not some nameless, faceless "generation as a whole". If some dude in Port Harcourt Nigeria can teach himself Python and Javascript on a smartphone and end up getting a job at Microsoft... what's stopping YOU? "Boomers" isn't your answer.

Hmm... you ever hear of millennials lobbying for reduced deficits?

What are you talking about? I’m pretty much the oldest millennial to the point that I don’t even like considering myself part of them and my parents were born in the early 50’s. Kids born between 80-95 are absolutely children of boomers.

I don’t even know what gen my kids are and don’t care but they were taught how to find their way.

One is an artist which is certainly filled with challenges and one will likely end up in ministry.

No boomers involved other than elderly family members.

This boomer ding is so weird.

Most boomers in the real world have zero sway

The millennial may have failed in personal responsibility but the baby boomer parents lack of discipline has spoiled the child. So both baby boomer parents and the millennial child hold the blame.
