I'm gonna paraphrase Jericho Green.

Both slogans are stupid.Everyone should have it deep in their DNA that every person matters.

You don't have to go go around saying "puppies are cute'.Everyone knows that puppies are cute.

I’d say being against murdering infants is a pretty positive association, but I don’t subscribe to twisted leftist morals, so...yeah.

Honestly, it took me longer than it should have to just do the basic research into BLM and the clowns who ‘founded’ it.

After that, it’s plain to see that getting distracted by the BLM racism canard is exactly what they want...

The marxist BLM group will fade quickly if people will stop picking at the wound. Ignore them.

Remember the Occupy movement?

Wouldn't sane people also struggle with BLM snarling at the phrase "all lives matter"?

I get what you are trying to say, but having BLM reject such a comment is just as damaging to their cause as their Marxist political agenda. Point out both.

Trump would be wise to start delineating between the "movement", the "organization", and the "interlopers".

This is how you win black support. The movement carries broad black sympathy. No one supports police brutality and we all want to crush racism.

The BLM organization has been highjacked by white leftists, they've adopted Marxist platforms, and are funneling money to white democrat and socialist candidates.

The interlopers are the white anarchists, commie millennials, and criminal opportunists that have consistently turned protests into riotous chaos.

Trump needs to carefully play to the movement while denouncing the rest. This allows the movement to absolve itself from the sins of the organization and interlopers, and it allows Trump to appease sane whites and blacks while attacking the organized hard left.

Black lives matter, the movement, not the organization!

I know technically that is two separate things.. but right now they are being used interchangeably with no attempt to distinguish differences and to be perfectly honest.. I have no desire or energy to try to worry about distinguishing between the two since they don't.

Who’s doing that?

lots of people have lost their jobs and been "cancelled" by pushing the ALM stuff. all that does is fuel the commies of BLM. it's a double whammy

exactly

and "All Lives Matter" is a shiny hook

if people stopped falling for the trick, the fake controversy of ALM will die, and people will have to look at the actual BLM movement

so, to go back to the title:

"All lives matter" is really stupid, does nothing of substance, may severely negatively affect your life, and will fuel BLM while shielding its insane policies

vs.

researching the actual beliefs and policies of BLM will expose them for the insanity that they are

exactly the point of this thread

"picking at the wound" includes "All Lives Matter"

the problem is, it's not

in an objectively rational world? sure. but BLM isn't built on objectivity or rationality in any way, so why would those who support it value those things?

True, but we are talking about their appeal to rational people are we not? Die hard BLM folks aren't turned off by Marxism.

Contradicting logic.

Saying “all lives matter” isn’t meant to sway actual BLM supporters anymore than pointing out their loony Marxist tendencies is.

Both serve the same purpose of showing your average American how evil the organization is.

The sad thing about BLM is that the average African-American who isn’t a Marxist but nonetheless feels attention needs to be paid to racial inequality is having their cause misappropriated by those who have a broader agenda.

It must be frustrating to jump atop the racial inequality horse, only to find that a bunch of other people are riding the same horse for completely different reasons. In short, they’re being used for political purposes.
