A person of even below average intelligence would take this as a sign that they should seek employment elsewhere , which may or may not be the part of the point.

Why the Federal Government just doesn’t get the the federal employees a Corporate Amex or similar credit product that has a personal guarantee that any unauthorized federal purchases with it are the liability of the employee and not the government. The government pays the authorized charges while any unauthorized spending is due the employee.

My wife had to travel for work for a major company. She had to pay everything up-front, then complete an expense report with receipts to get reimbursed.

Anyone with half a brain would prefer this method anyway. You get the benefit of the credit card points by using your own card and then getting reimbursed.

Who does? Congress doesn’t set credit card limits. Judges don’t set credit card limits. Executive branch does.

Take a step back and think of what DOGE actually is - it’s just an advisory group to the Executive. If he agrees with their suggestions, he has them pushed down to the Departments and Agencies he is Constitutionally in charge of. They have no authority and they aren’t pulling the trigger

It isn't,
You're probably right but the original X post about it in the OP was posted at 8:56 AM today and here we are 6 or so hours later and I can't find any mention of this news on any news website, including FOX, Rantingly or NewsMax. Those websites usually eat up this kind of news.

POTUS Donald Trump ran on his policies for over a year. He was elected in Nov. & took office in Jan. These whiney Federal employees have known for mths that this was coming. From several accounts, only 6% were working in their offices; 67% had a second, part time job, 34% working full time in another job. None of this started up in only a few mths pre-election. Now it's time to pay the piper & they're panicking? The same employees who played a role in massive waste of multi millions of dollars of our money? Screw'em.

It's sure not "breaking" as the OP linked article says. No wonder it's not my radar today. I wonder if there was a thread about this on the Poli Board 2 weeks ago? If so, I didn't see it then. Thanks.

You don't give people holding a government credit card a grace period. They will take it to mean it's time to max that card out. Cutting funds immediately may not seem right to some. But take it from someone who knows these people--it is the right action to take. God bless DOGE and President Trump.

Why can't the company set up the trip and pay in advance for all travel/lodging/dining, etc? That way the company foots 100% of the bill, I go on the trip, and I don't have to submit an expense report for reimbursements.
