The fact that some people here think this is even possible makes my head hurt. A man to Trump's right was gruesomely shot and killed, two others were hit and injured in the crowd, but yeah the FBI director decided she needed to be right behind Trump, possibly in the line of fire, on camera, so she could take some iPhone pics.

She was anticipating the activities. Body language says it all.
The timing of her turn is because of the timing of Trump's turn.
While I agree it looks like she smiled and that did bother me (it is unnatural), some people's minds didn't process what just happened and so the visual cues (Trump grabbing his ear, dropping initially) likely did not match her brain processing (mostly denial of what that cues mean) hence you do get some strange unnatural reactions.
If you look at the crowd in front and bleachers behind Trump in the first 15 seconds there's enough different reactions to write a book on.

There is no way to predict how people will react under stress in weird situations. She may not have even known what was going on.

The person in the FBI photo is a good 30 lbs. heavier than the lady sitting behind Trump. Not even the same facial structure.

Do you think a professional shooter just freaking sprays bullets everywhere? Unless she is the intended target, being 10-15 feet away should suffice for her to feel perfectly safe.
