But that’s very different from the role of government.

Is OP talking about government?

If not that opens up an entirely different discussion about our actual government and theocracy.

And here I thought the Bible was rife with war, battles, the destruction of the Canaanites, Jesus directly confronting and calling out the Pharisees, etc. I feel like some here are only seeing half the message.

"Politics" pretty much "compromise." Compromises between different groups in a society so they can co-exist. That's the point of it... otherwise they'd just physically fight to see who is left and in control.

Tolerance is not a Christian virtue. Jesus met people as they were, but he was and remains concerned for their souls and commanded them to repent and seek the Kingdom.

Believers, universally as the church and bride of Christ, need to shed this idea of tolerance as the world defines it - acceptance of sin. We are not to accept sin to not offend others. We are to don the armor of God and be the light on this dark plane of existence.

"There is no other god but Jesus Christ. There is no other judge but Jesus Christ. There is no other way but Jesus Christ. You cannot escape Him. You cannot hide from Him. You cannot lie to Him. You cannot bribe Him. You cannot deceive Him. You cannot put any plans against Him and think they will prosper. Any plans against him shall be put to shame." - Mari Mar Emanuel

Bible prophesy has never been wrong or inaccurate. Look at what is happening now. I hope you don't get left behind.

I didn't even post that part.

Where did Jesus promote revenge?

Correct. It is very clear to me that progressives want Christians dead. Period.

They are also siding with radical islam because they share the same political aspirations, without realizing the ramifications of this unholy alliance.

I can’t even estimate the numwbr of times you’ve cussed at me and/or insulted me for reasons I can’t even identify and now you’re posting about other people having hardened hearts?

How many more people are going to try to convince us that conservatives are allowed to be hateful but no one else is? And you have the audacity to cosplay as a Christian.

Jesus literally let people crucify him and forgave them with his dying breaths.

Kirk shared the gospel with thousands.

I agree although I believe he was killed for political reasons. He may want to be remembered for his faith but its his unflinching political conviction buttressed by faith that did him in.

Don't mistake that for weakness. It doesn't take a strong person to be angry. Just look at the left.

The left absolutely takes it as weakness. They mock your god and slaughter your children.

But yeah, turn the other cheek.

These same lefties will also invite the Muslims that will destroy you. Are you going to just turn the other cheek when your churches get burnt down and your women raped?

David was a man of war. He was a man of God, but King David was a man of war. You can turn the other cheek all you want to but at some point standing up for biblical principles and what’s right and what you believe in overcomes turning the other cheek drastic times caused for drastic measures.

In utopia yes. And I wish this were the case but if it were why until a few hundred years ago did we all live in tribes.

Cultures will not mesh. You want Sharia? No, neither do I.

Pretty clear you didn’t get the point of the whole story or understand exactly who Jesus is.

You typed that not “god”. There is not burning bushes speaking to me. No mana falling from the sky. Have you seen anyone walking on water in the middle of a storm. Please, when did god tell me this? Where is the complaint box? I have a few.
