I don’t know how many of you remember a now deceased poster named Los Angeles Tiger, but he was a conservative gay man who often wrestled with his faith and his homosexuality, but one thing he never did in my exchanges with him was compromise the word of God on the sin, nor did he try to call it something else. I want to say he passed away from complications from AIDS if memory serves me, but the man took a lot of grief as I recall from many people for this and I always felt it was very unfair because we are all not unlike him in wrestling with our own sin, but I do believe the man believed on Christ as he said he did. I think we will find a lot of people like him in heaven, certainly not for their own righteousness by any stretch, but because they believed and refused to compromise the word of God, but instead placed themselves under that authority because they believed upon Christ for salvation, and were not unlike the lot of us who are saved by grace and yet a work in progress in sanctification still.
I say this to illustrate the vast difference in that and what we are looking at us today in those trying to queer up the church, which is anything but placing themselves under the authority of scripture, but rather compromising the word of God to fit their agenda to validate and excuse their sin. It would be no different than a church excusing heterosexual fornication to gain members rather than standing on the word of God regardless if it pleases the ears or not.
Every bit of this is a heart matter in what you really believe and for some, they don’t believe at all, and not because of the sin as much as because they do not put themselves under the authority of the Word of God and believe upon Christ alone for their salvation, thus believing upon who Jesus is, who they really are, and not trying to compromise the word of God to validate their sin condition.
Thought he deserved a shoutout for not compromising the Truth of the word of God.
