Bill Clinton did that with BRAC. No one she'd a tear for us. We simply found other jobs.

Two billionaires, including one who gets more in government contracts than any other human, are firing middle class Americans, and you cheer
And a multitude of those people didn't even know they were "fired" until they tried to log into their computer to clock in from their home... where they worked... unsupervised.
A good chunk of these "workers" did nothing but clock in and binge watch netflix/apple tv/paramount plus/take your pick.
They may have done a service, but it was minimal from home.
There's a reason why the CEO of JP Morgan (a left leaning organization) demanded all workers report back to the office or be fired. It's because the low to mid range employee does NOTHING when they don't have a Bill Lumberg up their arse.

Firing people in their “probationary period” (including in new roles as a result of promotion) is not what any reasonable person would call “with cause.”
Every federal worker serves at the leisure of Uncle Sam. When Uncle Sam no longer needs them he lets them go. Whoever thinks these people are entitled to something has a very warped view of what's going on here.

This isn’t happening
That’s fine if you think that there are better ways to go about cutting cost, but let’s not pretend that people are losing their jobs “without cause”.

until we find informed proposals to right-size their departments?
Yes yes yes, let’s hire some government contractors to do a 10 year study on “how to downsize the govt for dummy’s” and then file it away. Then we can get the congress to gather a “blue ribbon” committee to look at it for another 10 years and also ignore it. Great idea.

I am far, far from an expert here but didn’t this start with Reagan?

The base eats up these firings. Why act like it’s not a thing? Firing people in their “probationary period” (including in new roles as a result of promotion) is not what any reasonable person would call “with cause.”
Huge percentage of federal employees are vets, too, to add insult to injury.
If a company had massive amount of debt and woefully inefficient, you don’t think there would be downsizing and restructuring? How about if entire subordinate departments in a company was ignoring the CEO. Snowflake, take walk around the block, center yourself and welcome the real world that most people live in.

Yeah, let’s address the debt. Why is the administration adding $4 T to the debt ceiling? Isn’t the point of the firings to address the national debt?

I can give you the cause. None of them were working. Now they can get a real job and add something to society instead of sucking off the government tit.

People who know how to use their brain understand that doesn’t happen overnight.

H. W. I think, but I'm relating my personal experience. Libs are crying over lost jobs only because Trump is in the WH. When a Fem Prez is in charge their sympathy is far less obvious..
