Before guns we used swords, axes, spears, etc...

We do. Don’t get me wrong I’m a huge 2A guy. But my AR at home is pretty close to my AR in Iraq.
But who cares? We should be allowed to own tanks and fighter jets as well as far as I’m concerned.

Even if what he is saying is true, which I highly doubt, he is making a HUGE assumption that the .0001% of people that have said this to him represent the majority of the people. He's full of $#it though. No way what he's saying is true.

There are about 400 rifle deaths each year.
To put that in perspective, more people die from blunt objects (hammers, bats, etc) each year than rifles as well as more people are punched/kicked to death each year than rifles.
Rifles are safer than hands and feet.
