I don't know if I have criticized her but I certainly have not spoken favorably of her. I think she is a DEI pick and an idiot.

Kagan is hyper smart in the legal and non-legal spheres.

Other Supreme Court Justices like ACB and even both Kagan and Sotomayor have insulted her opinions, but the very first thing you said is that she's trying to be too clever. Followed by, "Maybe she is stupid."

You're lucky you're just a divorce lawyer. You clearly couldn't handle anything above that level.

PS - I actually had a Grandpa who once told me, "Watch out for people who are always trying to tell you how smart they are. They're trying to compensate for something, and they're basically trying to convince themselves."

Boy, do you prove how insightful he was about that.

"Being clever" is an insult. It's not a compliment. That's why I added the ETA. Thank you for showing me I was smart in doing so.

She’s an open partisan without a single shred of intellectual honesty or moral consistency.

I feel sorry for your poor wife. I can only imagine what that woman has to endure.

Of course, that's assuming you aren't one of those "message board warriors" who is a cuck in real life.

Yes, she has some intelligence/knowledge and obviously has the capacity to apply that knowledge. However she lacks the wisdom and the ability to use experience and insight to make sound, ethical decisions.

Sotomayor is an idiot and verified racist while Jackson is a verified moron. ...and also probably a racist.

Her answer to Marsha Blackburn's question is even dumber than it appears on the surface. She could have said something like "That is an issue that is likely to come before the court so it is not appropriate for me to comment."

Instead, by giving the quip about not being a biologist, she acknowledged that a biologist IS able to explain the difference between males and females. Which of course undermines the Leftist argument that sex and gender are social constructs.

Meh, I think she's pretty dumb. It would be truly interesting to see her opinions if she had no staff.

Actually, it’s commonly used as either an insult OR a compliment.

The context made it clear it was an insult.

I added the ETA for people who need more than context

She tries too hard and ends up being clever, as a result.
A "clever" Justice does not open herself up to Barrett's withering response that Jackson’s position was "at odds with more than two centuries' worth of precedent" and that the judiciary should not act as a supreme, unelected branch that holds the executive branch hostage. A "clever" Justice does not repeatedly embarrass herself in producing her opinions.

I have had trials before judges who clearly were not paying attention and "took it under advisement" long enough for the law clerk, who WAS paying attention, wrote the opinion.

I feel like this is more common than people realize. A girl from my section clerked for a local judge. She told me she was instructed once to, "Write me an opinion where the mom wins."

Oh, look. The dummy must've checked his upvote/downvote numbers.

I know at least 2 things about you, sfp:

1) You're a narcissistic, self-absorbed prick.

2) You're probably reasonably intelligent, but even that level of intelligence is negated by the fact that you are obviously dysfunctional and so insecure that a disproportionate number of your posts consist of 1) I'm a genius, and 2) Anybody who disagrees with me is obviously a "smooth brain."

Dude, you remind me of the old fable about the emperor who wasn't wearing any clothes. You don't even come close to being the smartest or most insightful poster here. Most of your posts could be written by Decatur, Tboy, or VOR.

Then you are using the word incorrectly.

clev·er
/'klev?r/
adjective

quick to understand, learn, and devise or apply ideas; intelligent.

skilled at doing or achieving something; talented.

showing intelligence or skill; ingenious.
