If you have assets, then that's fine and dandy. You're making value rapidly. If you're young and trying to accumulate something of your own, they are stealing it from you and have been without your permission since before they were born. And you're not one generation from every having some of that wealth passed down to you, you are TWO. Or THREE.
It's normal. Get back to work and I'll pay you.

Boomers are terrified of stopping work because then they have to confront death. They have been told that when they stop working, death is near. So, in their fear of death, they struggle for temporary immortality while denying younger workers of high earning positions.

I guess the silver lining is we may have a decade of solvency for Social Security and then the Boomers may finally be cut off from the teeth and can experience some of the pain they've caused.
Don't you realize many will have to go to tax paid old folks homes? Guess whose tax money will be used for that? ... and I'll still be sitting on my savings account and property holdings.
Lots of claims made against Boomers with literally no proof. A few links to some of these wild arse claims would be nice.

Hopefully someday you'll realize that this -
is as retarded as this -
You cannot explain your disdain for boomers outside of, "some f'n liberal hack told me that boomers were really, really bad and are responsible for all of my failures, and while I call myself a conservative and recognize the climate change and trannyism and racism narratives to be the bullshite they are, boomers are bad just happens to be the one thing the whackjob Left is right about."
quote:
They were the most degenerate generation since weimar germany. Unfortunately they appear completely normal compared to todays degens..
I'm not saying there was some grand conspiracy here. There was a shitload of good that came from that generation, but they were greedy, hedonistic, and worthless much too often. And these kids are the one's going to pay for their lifetime of abundance.

They took us off the gold standard so property values would forever moonshot while bank accounts value dropped every year.

What generation came up with this division? (It's incorrect because Boomers should be separated at about the mid '50s point.) It is nothing more to them than a way to identify what to make to sell to people to part them from their money.

Oh I’m sorry they are 75-79 and still running this country Trump,Schumer, warren, obama, Clintons, w bush, Jill Biden just to name a few boomers who hold significant power in this country
Why do you conveniently ignore McConnell, Pelosi, Feinstein, Sanders, Clyburn, etc? You don’t think they have influenced the direction of this country over the last 40 years? Presidents are in power for 4-8 years and NOTHING gets done in this country without Congress. To say nothing of the fact that blaming Presidents because they fall into the Baby Boomer generation is moronic when more than 80% of the voters who elected the last few Presidents belong to different “generations”.

Boomers created DEI
Really? How did they “create” DEI? When and where did that start? You think Boomers passed the Civil Rights Act and Title IX? So why is it that every poll I’ve ever seen says that Boomers prioritize DEI significantly less than Gen X, Millennials and Gen Z?

There’s a lot at play in terms of the generational prosperity gap in the US. A lot of it isn’t the Boomers’ fault, but they are outsized beneficiaries.
In the US, capital gains are taxed at significantly lower rates than earned income. This benefits older people, who have had more time to build up a nest egg.
The cost of housing and education relative to income is higher for younger people than it was for Boomers. This makes it more difficult to build up savings and investable cash, even with high earned incomes.
Interest rates were kept near zero for a decade plus post GFC, inflating asset values, primarily to the benefit of Boomers. In hindsight, I think a lot of boomers would have reservations seeing the impact on their kids trying to buy a house.
Boomers are now collecting SS “from” younger generations, which means there is an optics problem of wealthy old people “taking” from poorer young people.
The supposed “wealth transfer” will occur to a degree, but it will also come after most Gen X, Millennials etc could really use the help. This is why there is a growing trend in well-to-do families of early inheritance, often in the form of fronting a down payment or grandparents paying for school.
There’s a lot more here, but this is a multifaceted discussion.

Boomers betrayed Gen X...the most aborted generation in history. We'll be paying for the boomers for the next 10 generations. Absolutely a dumpster fire of generation who's "I got mine" mentality has led to their kids and their kids kids kids kids being debt slaves.

LMFAO - maybe you should read all 20+ pages of Boomer posts. Most reject the premise Tucker Carlson’s assertion with examples of how it’s bullshite while the rest don’t give a rat’s arse whether there’s an ounce of truth to it. I’ve yet to read a single post where a Boomer expresses guilt. But hey, whatever makes you think you deserve a trophy like everyone else.
