Which is, at most, an "oh my bad, yeah I road on his yacht and flew in his plane" moment.

Mountain out of a mole-hill, so to speak.

So if I’m getting out of town for a weekend at the camp and my buddy says hey I’ll drive...

I’m supposed to declare that?

It depends on the classification of "gift".

If a friend gives you a ride in his car, is it a gift?

When does it become a gift? If your close personal friend says hey I am going to ___________, you guys should come along, is that a gift?

its a nothing burger that the democrats can use to call for his impeachment and push a narrative to make their base more angry.

Just something to campaign on for 2024. They know a Republican majority in the House will never vote to impeach Clarence Thomas and they won't have the votes in the Senate to remove him even if they take control of both the House and the Senate in 2024.

Eh! If he went on vacation with a friend and that friend happened to have a yacht and a vacation house, it's really nothing more than voyeurism on the part of propublica....and if that person or donor were Republican and has not had any business before the court...it really is nothing Click bait, nothing more.

Yeah if they could prove this somehow influenced a case in this guy's favor, then they might have something, but all they did is prove this DIDN'T influence anything in this guy's favor.

What they have right now is just a minor ethics disclosure violation, at worst.

I'm hoping they make impeaching the lone black man on the US Supreme Court a central plank of the 2024 campaign.

Next conservative president to get the White House needs to go scorched earth on every one of these liberal assholes. When are they going to look into the Biden financials. Or Hillary's financials. They need a good taste of their own medicine.

Well sure. Please explain which court cases you believe this affected, and show us how, and then I'm all on board.

Propublica couldn't present any evidence of this, so I'm really looking forward to what you have.

Because the daughters, wives, mothers, grandmothers, great- and great great grandmothers of democrats enjoy the company of theblackman.

They do not consider Clarence Thomas to be black.

Weird goal post shift, but also very obvious, gotta hide it better next time.

It’s hard to imagine something much swampier than scotus (which is supposed to be independent) getting 6-7 figure gifts from big donor brass (of either political party).

If it was Soros/Kagan the poliboard melt would be seen from the moon.

Goal post shift from what?

Honest question: What sort of people do you believe Supreme Court Justices hang out with? Just random nobodies?

Your “which case did it impact?” rant is 1) not at all the point and 2) an argument nobody is making and you just made up.

Of course it's the point. It's the difference between this being a big deal and this being nothing.

ETA: Also, if it didn't matter Propublica wouldn't have mentioned it in the article. They dug into that. They knew that would be a smoking gun.

Lol Just because you keep saying it doesn’t make it so.

The issue is alleged ethics violations. If you don’t know what an ethics violation is, google is your friend.
