I just traveled through there an hour ago.
It takes driving experience and presence of mind. I think that is definitely one of the tightest turns allowed on non mountainous interstate.
Also that crosses over both I10 throughway going west as well as the I10 east to I65 ramps/roadways.
It can be kind of fun but not right next to other vehicles whose driver may not be having any fun. It is also a very tight road design. After working on managing the I-10 Mobile River express bridge engineering I have learned MUCH about the effects of narrower and wider roadways on speed and safety. The bridge leading into and out of the Wallace tunnel has an insufficient design (basically a harpin turn) from the 1970s and it is a major reason for its continual backing up and reason for adding the new Mobile River EXPRESS bridge,
which will run from the Virginia Street exit to the far side of battleship park at like 215 ft above the river.
